Speaker Profile

Maria Garaitonandia specializes in global leadership development training and coaching. She has over twenty years of experience working with clients in both the US and Latin America at all levels and across many industries. Maria offers clients solutions in leadership competencies, including intercultural and global team management, effective communication, and coaching.

Maria has worked extensively in Latin America facilitating courses such as Service Excellence, Coaching and Feedback, Presentation Skills, Effective Communication, Time Management, Negotiation and Teambuilding. She specializes in Leadership Skills development programs which combine learning, case practice and coaching for quantifiable results for her clients. She coaches senior leaders seeking to improve motivation and synergy within their teams. She has experience in various industries including Telecommunications, Banking, Mining, Manufacturing and Pharmaceuticals.

Maria is also an adjunct professor at AGM University in Orlando, teaching Effective Communication. She was also a professor at Monterrey Tec University, Cuernavaca Campus in Mexico for nine years, teaching among other things, Intercultural Communication, Doing Business in the Global Marketplace.

Maria holds a B.A. in International Relations and a certificate in Latin American Studies from St. Joseph's University in Philadelphia and a M.S. in Management and Organizational Development from Alliant International University in Mexico City.
